Search and RescueThe perfect partnership.
Presented by Angela Eaton, who has 25 years of S&R work under her belt!
What is K-9 Search & Rescue?
Dogs can be a valuable resource when
used in critical response, particularly those involving tracking and locating lost people.
Scent detection the innate need to locate the source of a scent make dogs ideal for locating lost people in the wilderness, avalanches, bodies of water, disasters, as well as locating human remains and evidence material.
Canine Search and Rescue is an exciting
way to illustrate the value of the
human-animal bond when paired with excellent communication and training.
Training should prepare both the dog and handler to work as a team while building confidence and trust in one another.
