Description of Seminar/Conference

This three week online Certificate Course gets into the nitty gritty of canine genetics. Whether you took APDT’s “Introduction to Canine Genetics” or you already had a solid grasp of genetics, this course will take things to the next level. We will cover case studies in genetic influences on behavior, environmental influences on behavior, and the interaction of the two. We will discuss how dogs developed from wolves and what that means for dog behavior today. We will talk about using genetics to predict behavior in dogs, including genetic testing.
