  Description of Seminar/Conference

In this telecourse, Trish King discusses two related problems – proper socialization and resource guarding. If early socialization is done properly, we can avoid problems such as resource guarding.

As to socialization, there’s good and bad news. The good news is that the public is beginning to understand that socialization is an important part of early learning in dogs; the bad news is that they don’t know what proper socialization is! This class will help you understand proper socialization.

For dogs who do resource guard, Trish will give lots of practical tips on how to manage and modify this potentially dangerous behavior. Resource guarding is such a prevalent problem that all dog trainers should have a good understanding of its origins and how to work with it.
