  Description of Seminar/Conference

Parents want their children to grow-up with the love and companionship of the family dog. Children are being forced to take on far too much responsibility of rearing an emotionally healthy puppy or dog. The result?
Far too many bites. Who's fault is it? Have the dogs gone bad? Are the kids not being taught how to behave around dogs? Or, are parents simply too busy to pay attention?

Over the past years, there has been a huge increase in dog bites to
children. Why? Pia will discuss the most common triggers which cause dogs to bite children, how they can be prevented and what to do if the bite has already occurred. She has dealt with hundreds of cases dealing with children and dogs -- not all ending on a happy note!

What types of cases do you feel comfortable taking on, if any, and if you do, can you keep everyone safe to avoid a future bite? Are we asking too much of parents to manage the needs of both dog and child?

Pia's book "Raising Puppies & Kids Together, A Guide for Parents" is
becoming a resource for many parents around the country. This webinar will get you tips to help educate parents, children and dogs!
