Canine assisted therapy- the good, the bad, the unknown is a 90 minute webinar, live online on September 13, 2016 and then recorded for OnDemand purchase and viewing. In this lecture, Patricia Tirrell, CPDT-KA, CRA, will discuss uses of canines in therapeutic settings, where it is appropriate, and what considerations should be evaluated regarding efficacy and possible considerations for animal welfare.

Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) is a relatively young field trying to establish a strong evidence based foundation for its work. This talk discuss uses of canines in therapeutic settings, where it is appropriate, and what considerations should be evaluated regarding their use as well as possible considerations for animal welfare as it pertains to therapy animals.

A question and answer session will follow this webinar that will be moderated by Giovanna Rosenlicht, DVM.
